Hello folks,
We had our fair share of discussion about this and the whole story is
sad. Apart from threats of unleashing lawyers and the like, I think
that we acted correctly: his SVN access was cut off in the light of
unbridgeable differences in the line of thought.
We hoped that a fork would never occur, but already at the time seemed
unavoidable. So be it. The founders and current core developers all
stay put, so the fork is a
one-man-and-his-overzealous-ambition-project.
Just as a piece of history, this same person is well known for such
"moves" (google for gentoo, zwelch and zynot ... a failed attempt at
grabbing power in yet another open source project which failed a few
months after he forked it).
I would just like to say finally that we appreciate all your support
and collaboration. MiniSIP is quite far in terms of reputation among
the community. We intend to expand it and improve it. And for that, we
welcome and need your collaboration.
Regards,
Cesc
(Part of the "Minisip Team")
