Status of video / avcodec

Hi list,

We're trying to get minisip to work with video streaming here (we're
planning to use it as the softphone component in a future product).

Is video supposed to work?
What version (i.e. svn revision number) of libavcodec are you using?

We're having a hard time even getting it to compile; ffmpeg-0.4.8 and
0.4.9pre1 (the last official releases) don't even remotely compile, and
ffmpeg-trunk has header issues (no extern "C" in headers or in minisip
source).
