I moved it into "dist-post" hook, I think it should work.

Btw, dist.local.example contains callbacks for building the packages in
a pbuilder chroot and adding to a Debian/Ubuntu repository managed by
reprepro. This makes it possible to build minisip for Debian sid, lenny
and etch, and Ubuntu gutsy, feisty and edgy on a single system. (dch
needs a little tweak to remove a warning.)

I have built current svn snapshot on i386 for the mentioned releases,
they are available from "deb http://www.hem.za.org/debian/ <release> main".
