Sound with vista

Hello,

 

I've tried ( an old ) minisip on vista, and found issues with sound:

 

Here, ( minisip 3157 + portaudio 18 ),  almost no rtp packets are sent from
the PC with vista ( works great on XP).

The sound is played back correctly,  but as almost no packets are sent , the
communication is one way. 

Put a few counters in the input callback to realize that it is called very
seldom - and randomly ( certainly not 50 times/s ).

 

Thought the problem could be related to portaudio so as an experiment I
tried to compile a more recent 

release ( latest stable v19 compiled with vs2005 sp1) of portaudio,  

linked with the same version of minisip and now rtp packets are sent at a
decent rate, but the 

sound played back on the PC with vista is almost unaudible. ( Used to be ok
with v18 ).

 Couldn't check if the quality if of the sound  sent over the wire was ok.

 

The same binary has a correct sound on XP. 

Is it a known problem, is there a known fix ? 

Is it just the wrong list to ask ? 

 

I found very few hits googling for portaudio vista ( or minisip vista ) .
