minisip trunk build error

debian has symbolic link /etc/alternatives/automake that can be made to
point to the desired automake version.  there is autoconf 2.59 package,
but for some reason its installation had not removed earlier autoconf
2.13.  now i have

automake: automake (GNU automake) 1.9.5
 libtool: ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.5.6 (1.1220.2.95 2004/04/11 05:50:42) Debian: 224 $

but still the same double .lib problem.  also m4 files from
/usr/share/libtool are still not copied.
